One of the things I love the most about Chinese New Year is making the traditional dumplings. Though my mother in law does most of the work - she makes the dough and the filling - the women in the family enjoy gathering to assemble these treats. Plus, we make enough for everyone to take home a large bag.
OK, I admit it, dumplings are a weakness of mine. It’s all I could do to make them last until the Chinese New Year. One year my husband and I ate them all beforehand and had to run out to the store to buy some to have on hand. Thanks for the links Deb. Like you I have a passion for this style of dumpling. One of our local food courts has 3 Asian food outlets who sell their own unique dumplings. Each time I visit there (sometimes just for dumplings) I always buy at least 6 from each place and pig out on 18 dumplings and dipping sauce.
I’m so pleased to confess and get that off my chest! ;)
